Small bathroom remodeling can give you a fresh new look while making the most of the square footage that you do have. Here are a few tips for small bathroom remodeling.

Decorate with white. White is a very practical color in small bathrooms. This way the lines of your toilet, bathtub, tile as well as the porcelain sink won't be broken up. This creates a sense of flow. White tile can work with almost any different design depending on how you style it. You can go with a vintage look or make it look modern and contemporary. Plus, white tiles are very durable and the design will also still be in fashion in a few years or even a few decades. This makes the most of your remodeling budget while maximizing your space.

Give the room a little bit of wow factor. You might not feel like there's anything special about your space or any room to add anything special. This doesn't have to be the case. This will make your room feel more high end. Then the eye will focus on the one really important item instead of the lack of square footage. Your wow factor will come from a simple vessel sink that doesn't have to cost a lot of money and also allows you to convert pieces of furniture into vanities. Vessel sinks can work with all different design styles from modern to vintage depending on how you decorate the rest of your room. This way you'll still have pieces that you love even if you don't have all the floor space that you want.

Find ways to hide your storage. Storage is an issue with all small spaces but especially in bathrooms. You can install a lot of different hangers and hooks on the inside of cabinet doors to organize hairdryers and cosmetics. You can even make stylish floating shelves and baskets. This allows you to remain organized so your room doesn't feel cluttered.

Get rid of all the unwanted items in your space. Small bathrooms need to be very functional. They should include basic necessities, decor, and storage space. This may mean eliminating entire fixtures. Not every room in your home needs to have a bathtub although this can hurt the resell value of your space later on.

Find a space saving vanity. You might need a vanity for storage or you might not use the cabinet space a lot. In this situation you'll really want to consider installing a pedestal sink. These can go with a modern or traditional style. Also in contemporary styles you'll see sinks that seems to be hanging directly on the wall to save space.
