Using a bright colored daisy decorating theme in your little girl's bedroom will make the room cheery and inviting. In this article you will learn seven simple ideas that will help you transform your daughter's room easily and inexpensively.
1. Select a bright daisy wall border.
The first step in creating a cohesive bedroom theme, that is inexpensive yet stylish, is to select a wall border that you would like to feature as a main part of the room design. This will help to set the color theme for the room while also adding a decorative element. It's easy to find daisy wallpaper borders in shades of purple, pink, lime green and white that will really make your room design pop.
2. Add a companion wallpaper.
Most of the wall borders today have coordinating wallpapers which really lend a wonderful backdrop to your bedroom design theme. 4. Create your own daisy artwork.
If you have leftover wall border, a simple option for creating your own custom artwork is to cut daisy shapes right out of your paper. Simply mount the daisies onto a thick white paper or card stock and then place the finished piece into a frame. For added visual interest, use an odd number of frames to create a collection over the bed or over a dresser.
5. Accent with silk flowers.
Silk and paper daisies can be bought for next to nothing at your local discount or craft stores. Cut off the stems of some of the daisies and glue or pin them in a grouping on the wall or add them as an accent to the corner of a bulletin board. Attach some of the daisies to the top of a mirror and some to the bed headboard for a more customized look. You could also purchase very inexpensive bud vases and fill them with the silk or paper daisies and use those scattered around your room on shelves or atop a desk or dresser unit as a classy room element.
6. Select daisy room accents.
You can find special theme novelty rugs online or at local department stores. A perfect option for this theme would be a daisy shaped accent rug in colors that coordinate with your wallcovering selections. Place the accent rug next to your child's bed for a quick and colorful room accent.
7. Add butterfly accessories.
For added visual interest, try adding small butterfly accent pieces to your bedroom decorating theme. Add butterfly stuffed animals or throw pillows, decals or drawer pulls to help pull your theme together.
