If you've got a daughter between the ages of 6 and 13, I'm sure you're very familiar with Hannah Montana, the alter-ego of Miley Cyrus. She has been one of the biggest pop stars for the last couple of years. As a result, many girls decide they want a Hannah Montana bedroom theme.
Hannah Montana is a Disney creation, and like most things Disney does they have a ton of products you can buy with her on them. This includes wallpaper, bedding, lamps, and much more. Designing a bedroom theme is easily done, if you want to spend the money.
Something to consider before you redesign your daughter's bedroom is how long Hannah Montana is likely to be her favorite. Kids tend to be fickle, and today's biggest pop star is tomorrow's nobody. There's nothing worse than completely redecorating her bedroom, only to have her hate it in a year or two when someone else is the new "big thing."
The best way to design a bedroom theme is to use colors and decor that suit the theme, but aren't necessarily tied into it too much. So rather than using Hannah Montana wallpaper or borders, you could use a design that is music-related and finish it off with posters, decals and other accessories that are easily removed.
You can still buy other decor items like lamps or bedding sets that have Hannah Montana on them. These things are relatively cheap compared to redecorating the entire room, not to mention a lot less time consuming.
Some of the things that you could consider using to decorate the room include:
- Borders or wallpaper with patterns that are music related
- Guitar or other musically shaped lamps
- Decals on dressers, nightstands and the walls themselves
- Bedding, including comforters or duvet covers, sheets, etc.
There are lots of ways to give the room a Hannah Montana feel while still making it relatively cheap and easy to change when the next big pop star comes on the scene. You'll appreciate the time and money saved, and your daughter will appreciate being able to update the theme regularly.
