If your teen has a small bedroom, you want to still decorate it the way that they want. You have several different ways to decorate the room so it looks and feels larger without adding on or costing too much money. A small bedroom can be the perfect bedroom for teens.

Your teen deserves a room that they can hang out in and listen to their music, watch movies, play games, and more. A teen needs their own room for privacy. The trick is to decorate the room so they can use it for several years before you need to redecorate it again.

The Walls

When painting the wall, you want to use a bright color. White is good because it can brighten a room and it can also match with everything else. The paint that you use on the wall can also affect the overall feel of the room. For example, a dark paint can actually make the room feel closed in and dark while a bright color reminds you of light shining in.

You can also mix and match the colors to create different hues. Going from a primary color to a pastel color is one way you can get a bright look in their room with different hues. Don't place a lot of pictures and shelves on the wall. If you have too many pictures and shelves on the walls, you will create a cluttered look, which will also create a crowded and much smaller feel to the room. You can make the room feel comfortable and larger in size when you consider the colors and the wall art first.

Furniture

It's important to arrange the furniture accordingly. One type of decor is called Feng Shui. This is a very clean look that finds positive energy in the decor, which can affect the entire decor. Move the furniture away from all doors. This will give your room a clear open look. Instead of using large pieces of furniture, find smaller furniture that can hold everything you need without taking up a lot of room. You need a bed that can save space, for example, a captains' bed or a loft bed.

Flooring

You want to complete the look by adding simple flokati area rugs around the room; at the bed, in front of the desk, dresser, or window. These are the places that you stop and stand and the rugs will make your stand more comfortable. White, yellow, black, or red rugs are just a few of the choices you have to make in color.

Accessories

You can add as many accessories as you want as long as the colors do not clash with each other. Accessories include throw pillows, throws, blankets, photo frames, and more. Accessories can also help you balance the colors in your room.

Although teens usually go for bright colors are dark colors, you can accessories with these colors instead of painting the walls and covering the floors with one main color. However, you can use white as your main color.
